The only things that don’t seem to work for the film is the characterisation of Madhu Shalini’s character Leena, who comes across as a damsel-in-distress (despite receiving the same training Gopi has) and stands out like a sore thumb amidst strong female characters. A delightful ride filled with twists, Intelligent Khiladi (Goodachari) gets more things right than it gets wrong. When the identity of Rana is revealed right before the interval, a casting coup the filmmakers were right to keep hidden, little does the viewer know that the twists have only just begun. Anish Kuruvilla, Vennela Kishore, Prakash Raj and the famous unrevealed baddie who plays Rana also deliver stupendous performances. Madhu Shalini is okay in her role of agent Leena, while Sobhita Dhulipala is breath-takingly beautiful as Sameera Rao, a character she breezes through. Supriya Yarlagadda is a natural and completely subtle with her authority as the RAW combat head Nadiya. They also wedge in an Aadhar card joke to make it all the more relatable.Īdivi Sesh delivers a stupendous performance as Gopi, a boy who grows up filled with pain at his father’s death, only to grow up and find out the even more painful reality of who his father really is.

In a scene, Gopi and Vennela Kishore’s character agent Shyam also crack a self-aware joke about Trinetra not having the kind of budget Agent 007 Bond has. Seeing as how this is an origin tale he has nothing more than his well-taught skills, street smart ways and gun to rely on. Unlike spies in Hollywood films, he’s not armed with slick suits, cool gadgets and automobiles et al to make his life better. The actor was not lying when he said he wanted to bring a spy who was purely Indian to Tollywood. The best part of Intelligent Khiladi (‘Goodachari’) other than the intriguing plot, is the characterisation of Gopi. Who is Rana and what is his beef with Gopi? Like Supriya Yarlagadda’s character Nadiya Qureshi says in the film, nothing in their field (or the film) is a coincidence. But when his life is tossed apart once again by the most wanted terrorist Rana, Gopi has to find a way out the mess. Beautiful and independent, the two fall in love and decide to get married.Įverything seems to be going well for Arjun when he’s also selected to be a Trinetra agent after proving himself and rising up from underdog status. In a life filled with pain due to Raghuveer’s death, Sameera Rao (Sobhita Dhulipala) arrives like some much-needed salve. He harbours the dream of becoming an agent like his father Raghuveer and serving the country. Gopi leads a normal and content life as Arjun, with the help of his uncle Satya (Prakash Raj). But who he is, or anyone in the film really, is something that can only be revealed on the big screen. But before Gopi, alias Arjun (Adivi Sesh), can get there, he has to cross a lot of hurdles courtesy of who he happens to be. With intelligent Khiladi ‘Goodachari’ we finally have our very own James Bond, in the form of Trinetra Agent 116. What happens in Gopi’s life that turns everything upside down? But Satya wants him to lead a normal life and not be killed like his father was. Brought up by his uncle Satya (Prakash Raj), he wants to be an agent just like his father and uncle. Intelligent Khiladi (Goodachari) Story: Gopi (Adivi Sesh), alias Arjun, is the son of an ex-RAW agent Raghuveer. 💥💥Ĭast: Adivi Sesh, Prakash Raj, Vennela Kishore, Supriya Yarlagadda, Sobhita Dhulipala An engaging and gripping thriller One of the best thrillers in Tollywood.
